While writing the book on Robert Holcot (see under monographs) it has become increasingly evident that Holcot’s works (and secondary sources) are often difficult to find and access. Thus, in the drop-down menu to Holcot I have created a page for (1) Manuscripts/Editions, and (2) Secondary Literature.
While not much is known about Holcot’s early life, it has always been claimed that he was born in Holcot (Northamptonshire). Here is a picture of the Parish Church of St. Mary and All Saints in Holcot. Not much remains of the fourteenth-century Church, although parts of the current structure date to the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries (including the baptismal font , a few windows and parts of the central structure). For more information on this Church, see here.
